Akcay, Balikesir, Turkey, 16-23 September 2006. The aim of training course is to increase voluntary participation of young people aged 15 - 25 in on-going projects of the youth organizations and organizations working with young people.

Berlin, Germany, September 6 – 10, 2006 and November 22 – 26, 2006. Network Migration in Europe organizes a multinational Youth Forum 'Training on human rights issues' for students and multipliers who have an active interest in human rights education in the context of migration. The Youth Forum is devoted to the study and betterment of human rights and specifically the relationship between majority and minority populations in past and present.

Trainers training in Teaching politics
Sarajevo, September – November 2006. Main aims of this course are to deal with the topics of democracy, political parties and European Union as well as to get acquainted with tasks, contents and methods of education for democratic citizenship (EDC). In addition to that, cross-cutting key qualifications such as presentation skills and project management techniques are taught. Participants acquire basic knowledge and skills in the field of EDC and learn how to teach politics in formal and non-formal education. Thereby they take part in developing a democratic political culture in Southeast-Europe.

The Protection Project International Human Rights Fellowship
Washington, USA, September - December 2006. The Fellowship is designed to provide for a rigorous academic and professional experience in the field of human rights for the purpose of fostering both grassroots and government level leadership and support for the promotion of human rights values in targeted countries throughout the world. The fellowship will be awarded to outstanding non-U.S. citizens currently working either for a non-governmental organization or a government agency outside the United States and who exhibit a concerned interest in and commitment to furthering a respect for human rights values in their home countries.

Arrouquelas, Portugal, 05 – 12 November 2006. The training with be dealing with the subject voluntary work throughout Europe and the role and position youth takes in this field of work. How does Western Europe organise its voluntary work, and how does (for example) East European foundations organise theirs? We will have a deeper look at the differences and similarities. What can the participants learn from an organisation from Bulgaria or Scotland? We will have a look at the positive sides of both of them. What is good and interesting volunteer project? In what way are volunteers protected by law during their projects; does it even exist in Russia and what about Sweden?

Training Course "Let us Join for Diversity"
Gabala, Azerbaijan, 05th – 11th July 2006. The course will focus on the work on existing projects that specifically promote the participation of young people in local and regional life, both independently and in co-operation with local and regional authorities. Furthermore the course will encourage youth participation in local and regional public life, and lobby local and regional authorities to develop policies, means and structures for encouraging such participation. Topics as citizenship, human rights, democracy and civil society will also be addressed.
