Interpreter (Kyiv) – English required
The interpreter will be responsible for oral interpretation and written translation for a two-month international election monitoring mission that will be coming to Ukraine to observe the parliamentary elections. This position will be based in Kyiv from approximately August 15, 2007-October 15, 2007. Requirements include native fluency in Ukrainian and Russian, as well as fluency in English and the flexibility to work beyond standard working hours.
Accountant (Kyiv) – English required
The accountant will be responsible for managing financial accounting for a two-month international election monitoring mission that will be coming to Ukraine to observe the parliamentary elections. This position will be based in Kyiv from approximately August 15, 2007-October 15, 2007. Requirements include previous accounting experience, excellent mathematical skills, good knowledge of English, and strong computer knowledge.
Receptionist (Kyiv) – English required
The receptionist is responsible for providing secretarial, clerical and administrative support in order to support a two-month international election monitoring mission that will be coming to Ukraine to observe the parliamentary elections. This position will be based in Kyiv from approximately August 15, 2007-October 15, 2007. Requirements include excellent organisational skills, good knowledge of the English language, and native fluency in Ukrainian and Russian. Previous secretarial, clerical and administrative experience in an office setting preferred.
Logistics Assistant (Kyiv) – English required
The logistic assistant will be tasked with supporting a two-month international election monitoring mission that will be coming to Ukraine to observe the parliamentary elections. This position will be based in Kyiv from approximately August 15, 2007-October 15, 2007. The assistant will support the Logistical Officer with all issues related to the logistical operations of the election mission. Requirements include excellent organisational skills, strong computer skills, good knowledge of the English language, native fluency in Ukrainian and Russian, and the ability to work beyond standard business hours. Previous experience with logistics and event management preferred.
Driver (Kyiv)
The driver will be responsible for providing transportation for members of a two-month international election monitoring mission that will be coming to Ukraine to observe the parliamentary elections. This position will be based in Kyiv from approximately August 15, 2007-October 15, 2007. Requirements include an excellent driving record and a safe, reliable car in good condition.
LTO assistants (24 in regions, 1 in Kyiv)
This position will be filled on a full-time basis with individuals who can support the work of long-term observers (LTOs) associated with an international election monitoring mission that will be in Ukraine to observe the parliamentary elections. The assistants will work closely with the LTOs to assist with interpretation, setting up meetings, lodging, and all other logistical arrangements in the regions. The job candidates should be impartial and not publicly affiliated with any political party or bloc. Multiple positions are available throughout the country from approximately September 3-October 3, 2007. Requirements include excellent organisational skills and knowledge of the region, ability to work beyond standard working hours, and native fluency in Ukrainian and Russian.
