SOS Children’s Villages International is the umbrella organisation for over 130 SOS Children’s Villages associations worldwide. As a non-governmental social development organisation we work in the field of alternative child care and prevention of separation of children from their families. For the Regional Office CEE/CIS we are looking for a committed

Construction Project Manager (f/m) 

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure efficiency and transparency in the correct implementation of construction projects and maintenance evaluation (contracts, authority approvals, tender negotiations, timeline, budget tracking etc.);
  • Steer and manage construction projects together with local co-workers (new construction, renovation, acquisition of real estate);
  • Support 25 countries in CEE/CIS with construction expertise and regular field visits;
  • Be responsible for implementing SOS Children’s Villages’ construction policies, standards and processes;
  • Ensure that standardised and tailor made information and reporting of construction projects is made available according to standards and agreements with financing donor organisations.

 Requirements:

  • Academic degree in civil engineering or architecture;
  • Ten years of experience of project managing renovation or construction projects; expertise in energy efficiency (thermal rehabilitation, solar energy, water treatment etc.);
  • Good command of English and German, written and spoken, Russian is an asset;
  • Result oriented and reliable, proven track record of successful projects;
  • Strong team player and experienced in working independently;
  • Excellent computer literacy;
  • Willingness to travel and adjust to different cultural environment;
  • Applicants preferably hold a valid Austrian working permit or are eligible to work within the EU.
