Presenter: 

Jimmy Hill, M.ED. Counselling Psychology, Associate Professor in the Foreign Language and Philology Departments at University of South Bohemia, Czech Republic, currently teaching at the Ukrainian-American Liberal Arts Institute “Wisconsin International University (USA) Ukraine” in Kiev and working in collaboration with The American Common Law Center at the Law Faculty of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Ukraine (ACLC) over a course of trainings on ATO Syndrome and Protecting ATO Children for the employees of the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine.

Event description: Humans have always relied on friendship. We never would have made it out of the Stone Age without cooperation and companionship. Nowadays, we may not need our immediate circle to help gather food or fend off predators, but friends can still be absolute lifesavers. Many studies over the years have found that people generally live longer, happier, healthier lives if they have a strong network of support from friends and family. 

In the Discussion Club session Jimmy Hill and participants will explore the phenomenon of friendship and learn how to be a good and reliable friend!
