Duties and Responsibilities

Building on previous work carried out by the Youth project team in Ukraine the HIV and Youth Specialist shall provide support to Project Manager on the HIV and Youth Components of the Project as well as serve as Project Manager ad interim during January-March 2015 (more information on the application website)

Required Skills and Experience

• Masters’ degree in law, public international law, human rights, social sciences, or another relevant field. PhD degree will be considered as an advantage.

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in the field of human rights and HIV. Experience of youth development projects with actions to address HIV/AIDs issues would be considered as an advantage.
• Experience in delivering capacity development, advisory and advocacy services to the Government in the relevant fields. The work in the government institutions is an asset.
• Network of relevant contacts with institutions, specialists operating in the sphere of youth and HIV development.
• Experience in carrying out analytical work, preparing brief, reporting and contributing to reports.
• Fluency in English, Ukrainian/Russian is required.
