Programme Specialist у представництво МОМ в Україні (Краматорськ)

Under the direct supervision of the CT Programme Coordinator and overall supervision of the Chief of Mission (COM) and the Head of Office in Kramatorsk, the CT Programme Specialist will be responsible for providing necessary support in effective implementation of IOM’s counter-trafficking projects of the IOM CT team.

Core Functions / Responsibilities:

  1. Support the Counter-Trafficking Programme Coordinator  in the effective implementation of counter-trafficking project components, with a particular focus on monitoring, capacity building, and information dissemination, including but not limited to:
  • Monitoring the situation with human trafficking around the contact line and submitting regular reports to the Programme Coordinator;
  • Liaising with external stakeholders, including but not limited to the local government, NGOs and other stakeholders on the trafficking situation around the contact line, counter-trafficking information dissemination, and victim referral;
  • Promoting the implementation and ensuring dissemination throughout the region of awareness-raising tools and materials developed by IOM;
  • Provide introductory training on trafficking prevention and victim identification to local stakeholders as assigned;
  • Organize trainings, seminars and other events and perform related procurement, financial and administrative tasks, including liaison with external partners and stakeholders, as requested
  • Serve as a victim identification and referral focal point in the Donetsk region, as assigned.
  1. Participate in the planning and, where necessary, development of IOM counter-trafficking projects, including:
  • Assisting with the development of new projects and expansion of existing projects;
  • Coordinating with external partners, as necessary, to facilitate project planning and development.
  • Represent IOM in working groups, seminars, conferences and other events as assigned.
  • Undertake duty travel as required by the Counter-Trafficking Programme Coordinator.
  • Perform such other relevant duties as may be assigned.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Education

  • High school diploma/certificate with at least six years of relevant work experience

OR

  • Bachelor’s Degree with at least four years of responsible work experience (degree in human rights, law, or international relations/development would be an advantage). 

Experience

  • Experience of working with governmental authorities and NGOs is a distinct advantage;
  • Knowledge and understanding of the issue of human trafficking in Ukraine and globally is an asset.
  • Advanced PC knowledge 

Languages

Fluency in English, Ukrainian and Russian is required.
