RATIONAL DRUG USE (RDUMANAGER

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

The RDU Manager is the lead specialist for the planning, implementation and evaluation of all SPS activities related to the assurance of medicine quality and safety and their rational use in Ukraine. The Manager provides technical assistance to the Ministry of Health and civil society organizations and other stakeholders in the areas of pharmacovigilance (PV) and RDU especially as they relate to Tuberculosis (TB) and HIV/AIDS. The Manager assists in the design and implementation of technical approaches, tools, workshops and advocacy events related to the promotion of medicine quality, safety and rational use. He or she ensures the timely and quality delivery of all SPS products and activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Advanced Professional Degree in medicine, pharmacy, or other public health related discipline.
  2. Significant work experience in pharmaceutical management and/or public health with relevant experience in improving rational use and pharmaceutical services.
  3. Previous experience in developing training materials and the delivery of training sessions.
  4. Experience working with the MOH and national level organizations.
  5. Fluency in spoken Ukrainian and English and ability to write lucid reports and documents in English is preferred; knowledge of Russian is helpful.
  6. Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  7. Excellent interpersonal skills, sound judgment and communication skills.
  8. Demonstrated computer skills; knowledge of appropriate methods for data analysis and reporting.
  9. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities, and work independently.
  10. Experience working with USAID-funded programs helpful.
  11. Willingness and ability to travel within Ukraine as needed.
